A website the band actually runs

Most band websites go stale because every change means emailing a developer or wrestling with WordPress. With Surface, the people closest to the music keep it current. Labels, managers and artists log in to Drift Hub, update what’s changed and press Publish. No developer, no WordPress admin, no waiting.

How it works

  1. Update in Drift Hub Log in at one address and pick an artist. Add a gig, drop in new artwork or rewrite the bio. It’s a clean, simple dashboard that works on your phone, and each person only sees the artists they look after.

  2. Press Publish One button sends your changes to the artist’s website. Prepare several updates first and send them live together.

  3. The site updates Pages, images and listings refresh within a minute. Search engines get structured event and album data, so gigs and releases show up properly in Google.

What's in it

On every artist website

  • Tour dates with ticket links, sold-out and cancelled labels, and past shows archived automatically.
  • Discography with artwork, streaming links, tracklists, lyrics and pre-save links for upcoming releases.
  • Band, press and media: members, press quotes, a photo gallery, and videos that don’t load from YouTube until they’re played.
  • Merch links to the band’s own store.
  • Booking enquiries and mailing list sign-ups, emailed to the band and saved in the hub.
  • An EPK page with a downloadable press kit.
  • Search-friendly structured event and album data built in.
  • Their brand, their domain: the artist’s colours, fonts and logo on their own web address.

In Drift Hub

  • Your whole roster in one place. Every artist on one dashboard, with upcoming gigs and new enquiries at a glance.
  • The right access for everyone. Labels see their roster; managers and artists see only the acts they look after. Nobody needs the WordPress admin.
  • One inbox per artist. Booking enquiries arrive with the date, location and message, and your team marks each one replied, booked or declined.
  • Publish when you’re ready. Prepare several changes and send them live together, and see at a glance which artists have unpublished changes.

Who it’s for

Who it’s for

Independent bands and solo artists who want a site they’re proud of without the upkeep, and labels and management companies looking after a roster.

Labels

Every act on your roster gets a proper website, and your team runs them all from one login. Add a new signing and they’re online within days, not months.

Management companies

Keep tour dates, releases and press current across all your artists without chasing a developer. Booking enquiries land in one place, so nothing slips.

Independent bands and artists

A website that looks the part, on your own domain, that you can update from your phone between soundcheck and stage time.

Launch pack: £195 per artist

Go live finished, not half-done. Four extras most artists need on day one, together for £195 instead of £235:

  • Content load: you send the bio, releases, gigs and photos; we add them.
  • Domain and DNS: we connect the artist’s domain for you.
  • SEO starter: Google Search Console, sitemap, page titles and descriptions, so the site is found from day one.
  • Privacy and cookies: privacy policy, cookie banner and GDPR-friendly form wording in place before the first visitor arrives.

Other extras, from email templates to analytics, are available individually. Ask for the full list.

Founding label offer

The first labels to sign up keep their monthly rate for as long as they stay with us, even if prices rise. In return, we ask for honest feedback and a short testimonial once you're happy.

FAQ

Questions labels ask us

Do we need to know WordPress?

No. Everyone works in Drift Hub, which is built for this one job. Nobody needs to touch the WordPress admin.

Can artists update their own sites?

Yes, if you want them to. Give an artist a login and they’ll see only their own act. You can keep editing too.

Can we use our own hosting?

Yes. On your hosting it’s £10 a month per artist, and we look after the Surface theme and plugin. On ours it’s £20, and we handle hosting, SSL, backups and monitoring as well.

Will every artist look the same?

No. Each site uses the artist’s own logo, colours and fonts on their own domain. More layout options are coming, and existing sites will be able to switch without a rebuild.

We already use Airtable. Can we move across?

Yes. We import your existing gigs, releases, photos and the rest straight into Drift Hub, so nothing is retyped

How long does setup take?

Usually within 10 working days of receiving the logo, content and domain access. We set up your first artist first so you can try publishing before we roll out the rest.

What happens if we leave?

Give us 30 days’ notice and we’ll send you all your content and images. Your content is always yours.
